Comic Book Heaven:LIVE! Canceled
I really, really hate to say this, but I won't be able to give my CBH:LIVE! presentation at tomorrow's WonderCon. Complications from my recent surgery have left me still a bit wobbly. I apologize to anyone who was looking forward the panel -- I was looking forward to doing it (probably my only opportunity to do so this year as I don't expect to be at Comic-Con this summer) -- but I just can't make it this time.

You were much missed! Some enterprising geek.com fellows hijacked your space after a while and kept most of us amused and interested, but the con wasn't the same without you. I'll now be looking forward to next year's Comic Book Heaven: LIVE! Feel better and grow strong.
Hey Scott,
My name is Patrick and I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that you couldn't make it to Wonder Con this year. I hope that everything is ok and that you feel better soon.
As for the panel, I really hope you don't mind, but I'm one of the guys who hijacked it when it became clear you couldn't make it.
I run a website at www.geek-tastic.com and I had gone to your panel on the suggestion of my friend and co-contributer to the site Matt. He had been to your panel last year at the SD Comic Con and he's been raving about how great and funny it was ever since. We got to the panel early and got seats at the front of the room. While waiting for the panel to start we got to talking to the sound guy who was running the room.
10 minutes after the panel was to have started, it became apparent you weren't able to make it, so before the room cleared out we got permission from the sound guy and took to the stage. We had no idea what we were going to talk about, but I saw a filled room of people and an opportunity to tell people about my site, so I did.
We did our best to entertain the crowd too. After telling them about our site, Matt and I got into a discussion with the audience over which Animated Shows are the best of all time. We also got into a debate over what is and is not a zombie. Do fast zombies count? Stuff like that.
I'm glad to see the other commenter Lois B saying that we kept at least most of the room amused and interested. I realize that our impromptu and improved panel was nowhere near as entertaining as yours would have been though.
So I hope you don't mind us taking over your panel. We did our best to entertain your audience.

Thanks, Patrick. I'm doing fine now (I currently feel better than my best day last year) but I'm still bummed about not giving the CBH presentation. I hope that never happens again. Thanks for taking up the slack at WonderCon. I'm glad to hear that it worked out both for you and the audience.
Well this is GOOD news for me! It means I did not miss it! And Really, if I can't be there, why should ANYBODY have any fun?!?
